- Festival de Musique de St. Barth -
musicians

This remarkable event was the brain-child of Frances DeBroff and Charles Magras.

It started in 1985, with a group of professional musicians from the Pittsburgh area. They were a small group, about five of them, but they made an enormous impression on the island.

Each year since, the Festival has grown in stature and importance. Ballet was introduced in 1988, and jazz in 1989.

The artists of the Saint Barths' Festival de Musique have included the American Chamber Music Ensemble, the Claude Bolling Jazz Trio, ballerina Valentina Koslova, soprano Alba Quezada, conductor Akira Endo, and guitarist Eric Franceries. Today, the Festival features top level musicians from every corner of the world.

This year's Festival will take place from January 24th thru February 2nd 2007. The schedule is posted here.

For tickets and additional information contact the St. Barths' Office of Tourism, or visit the Festival's web site.
