bougainvillia Bougainvillea

(Bougainvillea Glabra)

Originally from Brazil, this climbing thorn plant is commonly found in the Antilles. It is a robust, resistant plant that grows quickly. Its central white flowers are miniscule (3 to 5 mm) and are surrounded by bracts, or leaves that are magnificently colored. The bracts can be white, yellow or orange, depending on the variety, and constitute the the bougainvillea's most outstanding feature.
