Thornless Prickly Pear or Barbary Fig (Opuntia Ficus Indica)      Originally from Mexico, this large cactus is formed of various flat pieces shaped like a racket and is virtually free of thorns. It is often used as a decorative plant in landscaping. Its orange flower progressively blooms throughout the year from the plant's purple stems. It is resistant to dryness and sea mist.
