St. Barths Online

bruno & Geraldine     10 years already!

It is short and long at the same time if one carries on the fabulous adventure which Laurence and Peter O'Keefe undertook in 1996 to create and develop a web site for the island of St Barthelemy.

What a challenge, which has led today's success!

It is necessary to acknowledge that Laurence and Peter had unique qualifications to launch themselves into this technological swirl at the dawn of the Internet: couple from the two cultures that characterize St Barth: Peter, an American, is a graduate from the School of Design of Rhode Island. Peter discovered the island in 1968 and has been a resident since 1978. Laurence, a French national, is a graduate from l'Ecole Nationale de Commerce de Paris. A potent combination on an island in full economic development.

10 years later, in 2006, Laurence and Peter have passed the baton: In love with the island for many years, Geraldine and Bruno Colletas are finally realizing their dream: to settle on this splendid island and to assume the development of St Barths Online.

Bruno, with a degree in Computer Science, has always been impassioned by new Information Technologies. Geraldine, trained as a lawyer, has lived much of her lifes in Africa and hopes to find a similar softness of living, while assisting her husband.

Photographs in the site have been provided by Richard Amenta, Phillipe Hochart, Michel Hasson, Viany Stackleborough, Jacques Zolty, Michel Magras, Rick Browne, Sinclair Questel, Laurent Benoit and others.

The site is distributed across the internet from Montreal, Quebec, Canada by iWeb Technologies.
